My Working Man

I love this hard working guy. On Saturday I tagged along in Matt's work truck and observed a civil engineer in action.
My favorite quote of the day was "I won't be on his Christmas list". Poor engineers are not everyone's favorite guys, especially construction workers and their bosses if the asphalt or concrete they are using doesn't pass the civil tests. It costs the owners of construction companies thousands of dollars to redo sections of roads when that happens and they seem to resent that engineers have the power to fail their work (though really the engineers just conduct the tests and deliver the news). Matt was delivering good news to the construction owner that day so he declared that he liked Matt and would love to have him back to the site. It was the City of Lloydminster transportation head who had been scratched off his Christmas list.
