I've been thinking lately about how the only thing I ever need to worry about is trying to be righteous (which granted is a lot to worry about in and of itself!)
There is so much comfort in that knowledge for me.
I don't need to worry that my body still can't seem to pass all the tissue it needs to.
I don't need to worry about the things people do and say that directly or indirectly hurt my feelings.
I don't need to worry about my children growing up in a world where basic liberties and rights are questioned and evil growing more bold and more rampant.
I don't need to worry about the pestilence, famines, wars and desolations that will precede Christ's Second Coming.
I only need to try to follow Jesus Christ's example.
That's it.
I only need to worry about living in a way that allows me to be attuned to the Holy Ghost so Heavenly Father can lead and direct my life. Because my Heavenly Father takes care of me. He is a merciful, patient and gentle teacher. And because Jesus Christ has atoned for my sins, I can repent when I make a mistake and strive to be a little better everyday.
Life is simple and infinitely beautiful with that perspective.

This pregnancy
has taken an unexpected turn and I've miscarried (or rather I think I am still miscarrying).
Matt and I are of course disappointed but we've mostly felt peace and comfort. Heavenly Father is watching over us. We don't need anything right now except perhaps a little space to process things.
And since the word about the pregnancy has spread out beyond the immediate family members and close friends we told (as exciting news always does), maybe people can tell those same people they've told about the pregnancy about the miscarriage so I don't have to answer their questions about the pregnancy or miscarriage (because I would really hate to turn into a puddle at church or bumping into an extended family member).

Plans
My Mom pointed out to me about a month or so ago that Heavenly Father seems to move me a long my life plans faster than I would choose for myself.
I met the man of my dreams at 18 and fresh out of high school, not 23 with a degree and job.
I became pregnant with twins when I was just beginning to feel comfortable with the idea of one more.
And now I'm expecting my fourth baby! Despite the fact Matty and I planned to wait one more year. Despite the fact I was taking birth control.
And we are so excited!
I had a distinct impression when it was time to have our first baby and then when it was time to add another (which of course turned out to be two babies). And this time I've had that same feeling but it has come afterwards as a feeling of confirmation that this is what Heavenly Father knows is right for our family.
The baby's (babies'?) due date is March 4, which was Jonas' as well!

Killer Sandwiches
I cannot believe I put off trying slow roasted oven tomatoes so long. They have changed lunch forever.
If roasting bland grocery store tomatoes in the oven gives them this much flavour, I can't even imagine what it could do for delicious garden tomatoes!

Amazing Simple Pasta
We haven't been able to get enough of this pasta over the past two months:

Make sure to use good tagliatelle
(Superstore has a new line of pasta that comes in black boxes and it's great).
It's only 10 minutes from start to finish.
